Scenario #5 - Missing Booster from Vehicle
Background:
An ARI Drill Operator was assigned to work at a new customer’s rock quarry for ARI’s first blast. While on site, the customer handed the Drill Operator an undetonated booster that had been recovered from the site. The Drill Operator placed the booster in his tool box. After his shift (with about a half a day left of drilling to finish the job), the employee stays at a downtown Yakima hotel. In the morning, the employee goes out to warm up his truck and notices that the back window of his truck is broken, and the toolbox lid is up. The employee inspects his truck for missing items and realizes that the booster is missing from his toolbox. The blast crew is on its way to Yakima and has a 4pm deadline to get the site blasted. After the Drill Operator closes his toolbox, he hears a large explosion from the homeless camp across the street.
